Dr. Melanie Ruch - Veterinarian
Dr. Melanie Ruch grew up in Athens, Georgia but has recently started calling North Carolina her home.
She attended the University of Georgia and majored in genetics. After graduating, she worked at a local veterinary hospital, where she fell in love with veterinary medicine and patient care and decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Dr. Ruch returned to the University of Georgia to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine with a focus on small animal medicine. She is passionate about dermatology, neurology, pain management, and general surgery.
Dr. Ruch enjoys traveling, reading, hiking, cooking, gardening, and visiting local breweries and restaurants. She and her boyfriend’s menagerie include two dogs: Petey, a boxer mix, and Debra, a German shepherd; three cats: Biscuit, Pepper, and Erin; and one leopard gecko named Toby.
